Designed by Steffen Benndorf, this fast-paced card game offers players a chance to have some fun and test their skills while enjoying the festive atmosphere of the world's largest Volksfest.

Heidi at Oktoberfest is best described as a mix of rummy and bridge. The object of the game is to collect as many cards as possible to score points. There are three rounds in each game, and the player with the most points at the end of all three rounds wins the game.

The game is played with a regular deck of 52 cards plus four jokers. Aces are worth 1 point, 2s through 10s are worth face value, and a Jack, Queen or King (J,Q,K) are each worth 10 points. The four jokers are each worth 20 points.

To begin the game, each player is dealt 10 cards. The remaining cards are placed face down in the middle of the players to form a stock pile. The top card of the stock pile is turned over to begin the discard pile.

The player on the dealer's left starts the first round by discarding any card they like onto the discard pile. The next player then has two options: they can either play a card from their hand which matches either rank or suit of the card on top of the discard pile, or they can draw one card from the stock pile and add it to their hand. If they choose to play a matching card, they must place it face up in front of them; if they choose to draw a card instead, they must place it face down in front of them for later use.

If no player can match or beat the current card on top of the discard pile with one from their own hand, then whoever touched (or was forced to touch) that card last takes it into their hand and starts another round by discarding any other card. When one player either runs out of cards or chooses not to play any more cards from their hand, that player loses that particular round. The other players then continue playing until only one player remains who has not lost any rounds – that player is declared winner!
